DEV KARNA

A 3D Modeler that has spent the majority time working on animated television shows, but has had the fortunate opportunity to work on feature films and short films.  Professionally, I have been mostly on the character modeling teams for shows, however I have stepped in to help with Visual Development for current and future series, and special projects for theme park attractions.  Though, character modeling is where I usually get assigned to, I have been approached to model hard surface objects such as environments, vehicles, and props.

As much as seeing my name in the credits of shows, I get most excited when I see one the models I created for a show turn in to a toy.  Some brands that have converted my models to consumer products are Playmobil ®, Hot Wheels ®, Spin Master ™, Jada Toys ®, and surprisingly a McDonald's ® happy meal toy.

I was educated is Business, but became an artist.  As I have grown in my career and landed point and lead roles,  I am digging back in my business roots and re-learning and developing my leadership, management, project estimation, and, of course empathy skills.  Ask any of my previous employers, I take company morale and culture quite seriously.  I honestly believe a happy employee is a productive employee.  Cheesy, yes, but it is true!

Off the computer, my hobbies include ice hockey, golf, and bartending.  I can also make a mean Chicago Deep Dish pizza too.  My two favorite characters in television are Roy Kent from Ted Lasso and Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec.
